A Weekend Getaway With Coast Hotels
Planning a road trip with your family this summer? My husband, toy poodle (Myles), and I went on a weekend getaway with Coast hotels. We stayed at two Coast Hotel properties: Coast Tsawwassen Inn and Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina. Read more about our weekend getaway below.
Our Stay at Coast Tsawwassen Inn
We packed our bags and we hit the road in our Tesla. Our first stop was the Coast Tsawwassen Inn. Checking into the Coast Tsawwassen Inn was quick and easy. Our room was spacious with a separate seating area, king bed, desk, microwave, and mini fridge. They even had dog bowls and treats in the room, which Myles devoured. I loved that Coast Hotels welcomes dogs as we enjoy taking our four legged best friend on all our getaways.
When we woke up the next morning our car was fully charged as the hotel has EV charging stations. We also received complimentary continental breakfast which we took to go for the 90 minute ferry ride to Vancouver Island. The Coast Tsawwassen Inn is located less than a 10 minute drive to the ferry terminal. This is super convenient. A must stay hotel, great for families that want to have a relaxing trip to Vancouver island.
Our Stay at Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina
When we arrived at the Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina we were greeted by Josh and Justin at the front desk. They were both so lovely and super helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed for our two night stay. Our room had an incredible view of the ocean and marina, it was jaw dropping. The sunsets from our balcony were stunning! Our favourite part of our stay at the Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina was the exceptional level of service they provided. All the staff went above and beyond. The best part was the texting service where you could text the front desk from your cell phone. They would always answer promptly and be able to provide anything you needed at a moment’s notice. The Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina also had a refreshing indoor/outdoor pool and EV charging stations on site.
Enjoying the Sights
The Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina is situated right on the ocean with a short 20 minute walk to downtown Victoria. Don’t feel like walking? There is a ferry stop right outside the hotel that takes you to various stops along the water. The ferry was super convenient, you call when you are at the stop and they pick you up in a little ferry boat. A must do activity!
We enjoyed dinner at the Blue Crab Seafood House which is a top rated seafood restaurant located right in theCoast Victoria Hotel & Marina. This restaurant had incredible views of the ocean and marina. My husband enjoyed a blue crab caesar, a must try! We feasted on fresh spot prawns, calamari, fresh organic greens, and creme brulee. My favourite dish was the chocolate lava cake, it was heavenly! My husband’s favourite dish was the island halibut which he describes as the best halibut of his life. The Blue Crab Seafood House had impeccable service, sensational views, and scrumptious food, a must try!
