Top 5 Tips For Organizing Your Bathroom
Your bathroom is an oasis. A place to have some much needed alone time. You want it to be a place of relaxation not a place of clutter.
Here are the top 5 tips for organizing your bathroom.
Take everything out of your bathroom! Yes, everything. Pull items out of your: cabinets, drawers, shower, closet, shelves, and countertops.
As you take the items out of your bathroom, organize them into categories (makeup, shaving, lotions, hair care, bath items, hair care, dental, feminine products etc.) This allows you to see how much of each item you have.
Start with 1 bathroom category (makeup) and sort these items into piles: Keep, Toss, Donate, and Other Room. Toss anything that is expired, old, or empty.
Once you decide which items to keep in each category you need to decide which items you will keep in the bathroom. You don’t need 5 shampoos, 3 conditioners, and 3 body washes taking up your shower. Have only 1 of each item available. The extras can be stored in a nearby linen closet or under the bathroom sink, depending on space. Note: For single use items have a few readily available. These include: Cotton swabs, cotton pads, and feminine hygiene products.
When placing items back inside your bathroom, keep items in categories. For small items it is best to have them in small bins to contain them.
Want to up your game? The simplest way to get your bathroom looking fabulous is matching bins!
